Introduction to my music

Hello!

Russell Lloyd. Guitarist with many years performing and teaching experience. Has played at many festivals , as a soloist and with other musicians.
He was the guitarist for the Welsh premiere of Howard Goodhall’s musical “Love Story” in 2014.
Tv and radio appearances.
Was a member of the flamenco fusion band “Somos Cales”, and recorded an album with flamenco guitarist Dan Alazraky.
Recorded a classical guitar album for American company Westar Music.
Recorded an album with bass player Robert Parry.
Currently a member of the Russ Lloyd Trio , with acoustic guitarist Dave Evans and Bassist Ieuan Jones. The trio carry out concerts throughout the South Wales area.
Works with classical guitarist Duncan Leigh.
Classical/acoustic guitar instructor for Ace Music Academy, and teaches privately.
Holds Classical guitar performance diploma (distinction) with London College of Music.
Carries out guitar workshops in conjunction with Queen Street Art Gallery, Neath.
New album “Like a warm breeze” due out this year.

In addition I spent 4 very enjoyable years with flamenco guitarist Dan Alazraky and percussionist Foxx Kamio, playing venues throughout the country.

The videos (some from live gigs and recitals), are samples of some classical guitar pieces, and also some of my arrangements of jazz and popular songs. I will make individual song arrangements, on request, to suit a particular occasion.

There are audio tracks from the CDs "Purely Acoustic" and "Long Journey" along with short audio samples from the Westar Music (USA) wedding album.
